The recent arrests of the seven medical marijuana advocates on Maui are a direct result of our legislature’s failure to act. For years we have been asking the Hawaii State Legislature to change the medical marijuana laws in Hawaii so that it is a viable program, and for years the patients and terminally ill of Hawaii have been ignored by the very people that we have elected into office to represent the needs of the citizens.
